Tailgates and Touchdowns - Rivalry Mocktails Perfect For College Football

It's starting to feel like fall here in Seattle and to us, fall means football! College Football!

This One Is For The Fans

Here in Washington we have a classic college football rivalry and extremely passionate fans. With that in mind we decided that they would serve as our inspiration! For those that love a good tailgate but might be serving as the DD, just prefer not to drink and more... these are for you!

Bow Down

Anyone who has ever attended a UW football game is well aware of the first few notes of the fight song. Also, played at various points after a play, "Bow Down To Washington" is highly recognizable. Our first tailgate mocktail takes it's name from the fight song and uses our latest tailgate ready beverage. DRY Lavender Botanical Bubbly in cans!

DRY Lavender Botanical Bubbly "Bow Down"

 2 Tablespoons fresh   blueberries

 1 oz Lemon Juice

 1 Teaspoon Honey

4-5 oz DRY Lavender   Botanical Bubbly

In a cocktail shaker     add blueberries, lemon juice, and honey. Muddle until smooth. Place one large ice cube in a rocks glass. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker over the ice cube and top with DRY Lavender Botanical Bubbly.

That's Another Cougar First Down

Perhaps one of the most passionate fans are the Washington State University Cougars! Between their near constant "Go Cougs!" shouting at anyone wearing the iconic Cougar logo and their 258 consecutive (and counting) appearances flying Ol' Crimson on ESPN Gameday, they are loyal!

Every Coug knows the iconic words " And that's another Cougar first down!" called in Martin Stadium (Yes, we know the name changed but to us it will always be Martin Stadium). Our mocktail is featuring another classic DRY flavor, Rainier Cherry! Rainier Cherries were actually developed at WSU in the 1950s so it was a given that we created our mocktail with it.

1 Teaspoon brown sugar

1-2 dashes bitters

.5 oz fresh lemon juice

3-4 maraschino cherries

4-5 oz DRY Rainier Cherry Botanical Bubbly

In a cocktail shaker add brown sugar, bitters, lemon juice, and maraschino cherries. Muddle until well blended and strain into a glass. Top with chilled DRY Rainier Cherry Botanical Bubbly and garnish with a cherry and lemon peel.

We hope all of your tailgates this season are festive and fun!
